EcoPhage Appoints Dr. Lu Wei Liu to its Board of Directors
EcoPhage, a leader in the development and commercialization of sustainable phage-based biopesticides for bacterial plant diseases, and expecting its first U.S. EPA approval, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Lu Wei Liu to its Board of Directors. With extensive experience in sourcing, R&D, technology and manufacturing, Dr. Liu joins EcoPhage at an exciting time as the company prepares for production scale up and commercial launch in key markets.
Dr. Liu previously served as Director of Technology, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and In-licensing at FMC Agricultural Products International. He had also played key roles in several bio-fermentation startups, where he developed expertise in manufacturing, licensing, regulatory submission, and product commercialization. He obtained his B.S. in Chemistry from school of pharmacy of Beijing University, followed by Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pierre & Marie Curie and the École Normale Supérieure in Paris. Dr. Liu holds dual citizenship of Hong Kong and Canada.
Presently, Dr. Liu consults for a publicly traded agriculture chemical company in US and supports international supply chain.
